Company: Darcy Solutions

Department: IT

Reports To: VP of IT and Business Systems

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Hybrid

About the Role

Darcy Solutions is implementing Acumatica Cloud ERP to replace a patchwork of legacy systems — including QuickBooks, Contractor Foreman, Zoho Bigin, and Zoho Creator — with a unified platform spanning Core Financials, Project Accounting, CRM, and Project Manager modules. We are seeking a Business Analyst to support this implementation through go-live and into ongoing operations, serving as the internal bridge between end users, internal stakeholders, and our implementation partner, Crestwood Associates.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating business needs into system requirements, solving process problems, and becoming the go-to internal expert on a company’s core operating system. Beyond the initial rollout, this person will help drive Phase II initiatives and provide ongoing support as Darcy Solutions continues to mature its use of Acumatica.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation Support

  • Partner with the project team, lead consultant to support Testing, and Go-Live phases of the Acumatica implementation.
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements across Financials, Project Accounting, CRM, and Project Management functions.
  • Assist with data validation, test script development, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for configured modules (e.g., inventory, GL posting classes, warehouse/location setup, replenishment, units of measure).
  • Prepare and maintain reference data deliverables (e.g., item lists, product data, UOM lists) required for system configuration and data migration.
  • Document current-state (“as-is”) and future-state (“to-be”) business processes to support configuration decisions and change management.

Ongoing Application Support

  • Serve as first-line support for Acumatica end users, triaging issues, answering functional questions, and escalating technical issues to Acumatica support as needed.
  • Maintain system documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Acumatica users across departments.
  • Monitor system usage and data quality, identifying opportunities for process improvement or additional training.
  • Support user onboarding and training for new hires and existing staff as adoption matures.

Phase II & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and document requirements for future phases, including additional modules, integrations, automation, and reporting/dashboard needs.
  • Work with stakeholders across departments (Finance, Operations, Project Management, Sales) to prioritize enhancement requests and new initiatives.
  • Support evaluation and rollout of new Acumatica features, add-ons, or third-party integrations as the business grows.
  • Contribute to a roadmap for continuous system optimization aligned with company goals.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a liaison between business users, leadership, and the implementation partner, ensuring requirements and issues are clearly communicated in both directions.
  • Prepare status updates, process documentation, and training materials for stakeholders at varying levels of technical familiarity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role, ideally supporting an ERP implementation or ongoing ERP operations.
  • Experience with Acumatica, or a comparable mid-market/cloud ERP platform (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct), strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of core business processes in at least one of: Financials/Accounting, Project Accounting/Job Costing, CRM, Procurement or Inventory/Operations.
  • Strong requirements-gathering, process documentation, and data analysis skills.
  • Experience writing and executing test scripts / supporting UAT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working with structured data sets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction, contracting, or water well/oil & gas services industry.
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting concepts (cost codes, account groups, WBS/task structures).
  • Prior experience working alongside a third-party ERP implementation partner or consulting firm.
  • Experience with data migration planning and execution (legacy system extraction, cleansing, loading).
  • Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Zoho CRM/Creator, or Contractor Foreman (systems being replaced).
  • Working knowledge of Agile project management practices (sprints, backlogs, user stories, kanban boards) and experience using tools to manage IT/BA workstreams
  • Acumatica certification (e.g., Acumatica Certified User or Acumatica Certified Consultant) is a strong plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • Smooth transition from legacy systems (QuickBooks, Contractor Foreman, Zoho Bigin, Zoho Creator) to Acumatica with minimal business disruption.
  • High-quality, well-documented requirements and configuration deliverables that keep the implementation on schedule.
  • Reduced support burden over time as documentation, training, and self-service resources mature.
  • A clear, prioritized backlog of Phase II initiatives aligned with business needs.

Work Location & Travel

  • This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week on-site at Darcy Solutions’ Minnetonka, MN office (Tuesday through Thursday). Remote work is permitted on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training sessions, or vendor engagements. Travel is expected to be minimal and primarily within the continental United States.

Compensation & Benefits

$85,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Darcy Solutions offers a competitive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and 401(k). Details provided during the interview process.
